Hello! My name is Adam Jones, an aspiring journalist. I like to think of myself as someone who has a reasonable amount of expertise and experience in blogging and article producing, whilst studying a broadcast-heavy degree at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham.
My career goal is to have a managerial role at a journalistic institution. The BBC are an example of one media organisation that I would be honoured to work for, with high ambitions to break in to the tough world of journalism after finishing my degree.
Bracknell has been my place of residence all my life, living in the same house from birth right up until now as an 18 year old university student.

Bracknell has been my place of residence all my life, living in the same house from birth right up until now as an 18 year old university student.
I was born in Heatherwood Hospital in March 2000, a place used for filming for 'Carry on Matron', a film in a brilliant series of 'Carry On' films. Being born in the hospital opposite Ascot Racecourse, I was pretty much destined to like sport. A particular favourite sport of mine is football, as you will have noticed as you have kindly visited my blog.
Getting three B grades in my A levels after receiving disappointing AS levels was something that I was very relieved about. These grades met my conditions in order for me to gain entry in to the University for the Creative Arts. The mix of my A level subjects, which were Media Studies, Business Studies and ICT, has allowed me to make a fast start in a few of my first university units as a first year student.
As a UCA Farnham student, I am able to commute to and from university each day, however long and stressful it may be. Studying Journalism and Media Production here on campus has allowed me to access and utilise industry standard equipment. This includes the radio and television studios, exciting huh?!
The club that I have decided to do my blog on is Reading FC. Supporting Reading Football Club over the past few years has been a miserable experience. Nevertheless, I continue to go and support the team whenever I can, no matter how much they make me explode with rage.
Being a supporter of the club since the age of six, I have seen several highs and lows, mostly competing in the second division of English football. I have witnessed both promotion and relegation whilst I was a season ticket holder at Reading, experiencing a whole rollercoaster of emotions.
Being able to combine my passion for Reading Football Club with journalism led to me creating this blog, something which I have enjoyed making. Whilst producing content for this blog, I have also created other content for several other publications. This work can be found here.
